Slice Seeding
Slice seeding ensures a faster germination rate over other methods. When a seed grows into an organism, that process is called germination. The rate will depend on how fast the plant will achieve this. This rate is improved with slice seeding because the seeds have direct contact with the soil. This seed to soil contact is key for good growth rates with grass seed because of the rapid transfer of water and nutrients from the soil to the seed. Simply scattering or spreading seed won’t ensure the seeds direct contact with the soil.
Core Aeration with Optional Overseed
Core aeration is a mechanical process, which extracts cores of soil, thatch and grass from the surface of the lawn to increase nutrient availability, water penetration, soil air exchange and reduce compaction. Overseeding is a process for improving your yard by adding fresh grass seed to your existing lawn to thicken and fill in your turf. While these are two separate techniques for improving your lawn, when combined together these two tasks work in harmony and can help improve the health of your grass for the next several years. The holes created by aeration allow grass seed and starter fertilizer to achieve better soil contact, which improves results.
Liquid Aeration/Soil Enrichment
Liquid aeration can provide several benefits over more traditional core aeration methods, for instance the liquid will have a 100% coverage, there are no messy plugs and absolutely no chance of property damage. After spraying the lawn, the solution will get to work by breaking down the dense soil particles creating small pores in the profile to help loosen the soil. The pores allow more air, water, and nutrients to reach deeper, which promotes healthy root growth. Also includes a variety of micronutrients.
